Feeling Festive

After hearing people ranting and raving about the Bath Christmas Markets for years, this weekend decided to see what all the fuss was about. Admittedly we decided to go on one of the worst weekends as it was the last weekend of the markets. As you can imagine, it was pretty busy to say the least. Nonetheless, the markets throw you into the Christmas spirit. The scenes of lights, mistletoe and fake snow, the smell of mulled wine and churros and the sound of Christmas songs truly makes you feel festive and ready for the holiday season. Whilst I often find the markets to be quite samey wherever you go, be it Bath, Bristol, Manchester and even Copenhagen, they're good places to get products from local businesses and find some unique gifts, especially if you're buying for a foodie. Apart from the herds of people, the markets made me feel nice and festive and ready to tackle the Christmas wrapping and eat some mince pies.
