Sell Your Phone With Envirofone

We all have an old phone lying around the house that just sits there. We never really know what to do with them either do we? We're not supposed to just shove them in the wheely bin so we just leave them sat in a draw, turn them on from time to time to laugh at the pictures we took when we were 13. That might be just me.

That's when I checked how much my phone (Sony Ericsson Xperia X8) was worth on Envirofone and realised that I would get £11 for it. That's not a lot but at the end of the day, it's an extra £10 that I didn't have before. All you do is make an account, click sell and you will get a parcel pack to send it off in. They will check that it turns on - but you can sell it even if it's broken - and they will e-mail you to tell you when your cheque will be posted. There are other payment options available but cheque seemed like the safest option. The whole process took just under 3 weeks, which isn't long really and that was mainly due to me forgetting to go to the post office to post the parcel.

I totally recommend Envirofone as a quick and easy way to sell your phone as they do seem fairly reliable. It is particularly good if the phone you want to sell is a good phone as you can get a lot more than £10. Who knows you might be sitting on a gold mine. Or if it's really old you may get a whopping 59p for it - don't spend it all at once. The only downside is that there is a chance your phone is worth nothing but if this is the case, you can still send it to them and they will recycle it for you totally free of charge. Even though you wont get paid, it's still worth it to declutter.

Will you be selling your old phone?

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint - Rose Hip

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint - £3.99

It seems that everyone has ranted and raved about gelly nail polishes recently so I thought that it's about time that I try them out and see what all of the fuss is about. Naturally I headed straight to Barry M who always offer the best colours and I have been impressed with their collections in the past. I wanted a white polish because it looks nice on everyone else but I think I will probably look like I'm wearing tipex especially since I am terrible at painting my nails.Instead I chose rose hip which is a really light pink shade.

To me it isn't that much more shiny than Barry M's normal nail paint and I don't find it to be very gelly. It does last longer without chipping, perhaps just under a week but I was expecting it to last way longer. I think it would look a lot better over false nails. Saying this I still really like the colour and I like that it doesn't chip after a day because it means longer before having to reapply. I will still use it but I just wish it was a bit shinier.

Have you tried the gelly hi shine polishes? What do you think?

Uni Room Details

Finally after yacking on and on about it for ages I am finally at uni! My room is as expected, teeny tiny but, apart from my bed, I have all white furniture and really nice wooden floor. I've spent the past day making it all homely with fairy lights and rugs and trying my hardest (and failing) to tidy up. I know we all like noseying at other people's stuff especially on pinterest so here are my room details.

Update: I'll be right back...

Source: Pinterest
I am running out of scheduled posts and haven't had time to write up some new ones. When I say I haven't had time I mean I have been doing nothing and watching a lot (I mean a lot) of Grey's Anatomy. This does mean that there wont be any posts for a bit (at least a week) as I'm busy packing for uni which is where I'll be heading on Saturday. I have no idea if I'll have time/somewhere to take outfit pictures but I will try my hardest to keep up with blogging and get back into a regular routine ASAP.

Uni Checklist #3: Stationary, Books etc.

When going to uni, believe it or not you need not only the nice stuff to decorate your new room but you will also need stuff to actually do some work - boring I know but it's what you're there for, right? Here's a checklist of a few bits and pieces that will be useful for all that studying you're going to do.

Source: Pinterest

  • Notebooks -I'm a paper snob and will only use the Oxford paper which is currently in a half price sale at Tesco so stock up now - I've bought 9.
  • Pens. So many pens.
  • Ruler, rubber, sharpener, hole puncher, stapler and what not
  • Folders/ring binders. Get the leaver arch ones as they are so much sturdier
  • Laptop Case
  • Memory sticks
  • Pencil case - mandatory! You cannot start school/uni without a new pencil case. It's a fact of life
  • Diary - to keep up to date of when things need to be handed in, what you're doing and when.
  • Books for your course**
  • Post it notes
  • A hot beverage of your choosing (or several). Just to keep you going.

**You will have been given a reading list of books you should have a look at before you start uni. Don't try and buy them all because it will cost you a fortune and they don't actually expect you to read them all (or any). Buy one or two and then get the rest from the library when you get there.

I hope that this post is useful to you when buying the rest of your stuff for uni and if I've missed anything do let me know! I am also thinking of doing a useful tips for at uni/school style thing to keep me sane and to help other people out, such as tips for revising and staying focused and stuff because I know people find it hard and the only way I can stay on top of things is to write it down so my blog might be a useful place to put it.

Recent Favourite: REN Hot Cloth Cleanser

REN Hotcloth Cleanser - £16.00

Recently I've been trying out the REN hot cloth cleanser which seems to be a must have product in the blogger world. If you're new to the world of hot cloth cleansers, you simply smooth it all over your face to remove make up and dirt etc. (if you're wearing eyeliner this stage will leave you looking like a panda). Then soak a face cloth in hot water and place over your face. Then using the same cloth, wipe of the cleanser.

Initially I did think, how good is this actually going to be but I found to be quite refreshing, especially the stage to open up your pores. It's really soothing. I also did find an improvement in my skin after using the product as it makes sure that all of the dirt and impurities are removed which make up removers/normal cleansers don't always do. Saying that I don't like it enough to spend £16 on it. Perhaps if there's a dupe, I might use that but hey if you have the money to spend I say go for it.

Have you used it? What do you think?

Work Space Inspiration

Within the next few weeks I will be going to uni (ah) and that means back to routines, learning and the dreaded r word -- revising. Sometimes work can be such a chore especially if you're like me and can be very messy. I think the easiest way to motivate yourself is to have an appealing workspace that doesn't make you want to throw yourself out of the window. I have been trawling through Pinterest as per usual on the hunt for inspiration and some of the workspaces are beautiful (and unachievable) and it makes me want to make my space pretty and work harder.

Florals & Baggy Jumper

H&M Jumper
Topshop Cami (underneath)
Urban Outfitters Skirt
Topshop All Sorts Boots
H&M Rings
Matalan Earrings

When I took these photos it was absolutely peeing it down outside which probably signifies the closing of our glorious (sort of) British summer. It's a shame I don't have to worry about being as cold but I am looking forward to jumper weather once again. This outfit is perfect for the whole transitioning phase that we're going to be going through as it keeps you warm but not too warm - ya get me? But I do know that if I wear this outfit come December I am going be freezing my boobies off.
