Week In Photos #30

New Primark bed covers // learnt how to fishtail plait // OOTD (see post here) // Reading pile *sobs* // They only had names beginning with S so I am now Stuart. // The accommodation I want next year at Bristol // Cuddle with Meg // OOTD (see similar post here) // New glasses

This week has been one of those really weird weeks. I had Wednesday and Thursday off to go to my Dad's in Birmingham so he could take me to the Bristol University open day. I can tell you that it is well and truly amazing! Everything from the history course, to the accommodation to the city itself. It's all so fantastic and I really hope that I can get in. However because I had 2 days off I was bombarded with work that I was going to miss as well as homework so now I'm just sad and trying to put it off. I should be going shopping next week which I am looking forward to so much, I really need new clothes.

Today might be the last day of GFC - ah! If you want to still subscribe to my posts then you can follow me on bloglovin, like my Facebook page or follow me on Twitter. I will update each of them every time that I blog so you'll never miss out. I am quite annoyed that GFC is going, I don't even have half the followers on bloglovin which is a shame because I feel that I have tried really hard.

oh well, this has been a lot of rambling for a week in photos post.

A Dungarees Kinda Day

Jacket - Primark // T-shirt - Topshop // Dungarees - Vintage // Belt - Tesco //  Shoes - Doc Martens // Glasses - Gok Wan at Specsavers

Hello lovelies! I bought these dungarees ages ago from a vintage fair and I wear them a hell of a lot but I don't think I have ever shown them to you. They were only £15 and they fit so perfectly.

As you may have noticed, I also have new glasses. I know what you're thinking, they're from the Gok Wan range at specsavers so I must have spent a stupid amount of money on them. No no no, Specsavers have amazing deals where you rarely ever have to pay the full £99 price tag. If you're under 16 or under 19 and in full time education you can get glasses that are £99 for £10. When I found this out I was so excited to get some new glasses so I got these babies and so far I love them.

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.

All In Black

Kimono - Matalan // Crop Top - Primark // Leather Skirt - Rokit Vintage // Belt - Primark // Gold chain necklace - Topshop // Shoes - Doc Martens // Lipstick by Topshop in 'Infrared' (Review Here)

What has happened to the weather? It's gone so miserable and rainy but I guess it's what to expect from a British summer. Despite the lack of sunshine and heat, today I decided to wear my crop top that I love oh so much and the kimono you're all probably getting sick of. It's tough because they are my favourite pieces of clothing at the moment, as is this leather skirt. I bought it when I went to London for my birthday last year and it was only £15 and I think it's real leather too. I love Rokit vintage but I really wish they had more stores across England because it is by far the best vintage shop I have ever been to and it's a bit of a trek to go to London whenever I want to go and I don't think their website delivers to everywhere in the UK.
Anyhow I am off to Bristol on Tuesday to browse around the university and I think excited is a bit of an understatement. Speaking of excited, do you all know that Skins is back for a 3 part series on 1st July!? Eeeek!

Jumper - H&M (was my sister's) // Shirt - Charity Shop // Skirt - Rokit Vintage // Shoes - Topshop
I planned this outfit at the weekend and was really looking forward to wearing it for sixth form because it's so cute. As you call know I am a sucker for a jumper and collar combination, especially when this shirt is involved. I was also looking forward to wearing a colour that's not black, red, white or grey.

I am really looking forward to next week as I am going to the Bristol University open day with my Fatherkins. Bristol is such a beautiful place and I really hope their history course is good because I would love to spend 3 years of my life there.

REVIEW: Tresemmé Keratin Smooth Shampoo and Conditioner

Shampoo - £4.99
Conditioner - £4.99

I recently began to get tired of my VO5 shampoo and conditioner because when my hair gets used to a certain product, it seems to lose the desired effect and as a result becomes greasier. I was looking for something that keeps my hair looking and feeling soft and fabulous all the time. After perusing the shelves of Boots I found the Tresemmé Keratin Smooth shampoo and conditioner which was on a buy one get one free offer so I decided to give it a try.

When I first used this product I found myself thinking, "what actually is keratin?" and I can inform you that keratin is in fact the material that makes up the outer layer of human skin, nails and hair and makes them strong, therefore meaning that the shampoo and conditioner help strengthen your hair. The products also state that they will control frizz for up to 48 hours and make your hair smoother and easier to style. After using them for a few weeks I can tell you that it really does leave my hair feeling less frizzy, smooth and rarely gives you that horrible 'second-day-hair' feeling. As for strengthening, I must admit I can't really tell if my hair is any stronger after using it but it certainly looks healthier but it does still fall out as much as it used to.

The main downside to it is that it doesn't really smell of anything so just leaves your hair smelling like...well hair. I do like to have shampoos and conditioners that have a nice smell that lasts so the products do fail of the scented side but apart from that, they really are fantastic.

When I have been using them I haven't felt the need to use a hair mask to give my hair a boost as I feel that it already does this. However you can buy a Tresemmé Keratin Smooth Hair Mask if you feel that your hair needs that extra bit of care.
Have any of you used this shampoo and conditioner? Are there any other shampoos and conditioners that you recommend?

As I am sure you're all aware at some point at the end of the month Google reader, and therefore Google Friend Connect (GFC), will be no more as Google believe that it isn't used much and that google+ will be more efficient. However this leaves all of us bloggers panicking that we wont be able to keep up with all of our favourite blogs and that we will lose all of those followers that we worked so hard to get.
This is where bloglovin comes in. Bloglovin' allows bloggers to stay following the blogs that we currently follow on GFC by importing them from google reader by simply clicking a button. It really is that simple.

Once you have done this, all recent posts will appear very similar to how they would at the moment on blogger. At the side there is also a section stating which blogs have posts which you have not yet read, allowing to keep track of what posts you have and haven't read.
You will be able to create your own profile which allows others to see your blog and enables others to follow it.

So if you want to keep following my blog and stay up to date with my posts, you can follow me on bloglovin' here.

Shirt - H&M // Jeans - Topshop Joni // Shoes - Topshop // Bracelet - H&M // Lipstick - MUA shade 1

With the sunshine gone I had no idea what to wear today as it is actually pretty cold. As I am writing this I have thrown on a big jumper because I am freezing. This is the shirt I recently bought from H&M and was featured in my most recent purchases post. I have been dying for a nice plain white shirt that isn't the same material as your bog standard school shirt because I really hate those. I have seen some that I really like in topshop but in all honesty, I don't really want to spend £30 on a shirt made out of really thin material so I was happy to find this one in H&M  at just £10 in the sale. Today I thought I would match it with my topshop joni jeans (which are fading so so quickly) and my topshop patent t-bar shoes. I have had a total lack of inspiration for outfits recently and I've just been throwing anything on. It would help if the weather would make up its mind.

New In: Clothes & Accessories Purchases

Crop Tee: H&M £4.99

Floral crown: Primark £3

Belt: Primark £2.50
Shirt: H&M £10 reduced from £12.99
Sunglasses: Primark £1
On Saturday I ventured to Chester to visit the university open day but as my sister goes there, I didn't need all of the campus and library tours so instead we headed into town to go shopping. Here are a few bits and pieces that I bought. I saw the top in the latest company magazine (I think) and I just knew that I had to buy it and it was only a fiver so was an absolute bargain. I also bought the shirt from H&M which has an embellished collar and the sleeves are more like a jersey material. I have been after a white shirt for ages and I almost bought one in new look on the same day but it just wasn't what I wanted so I was overly pleased to find this one. The belt, floral crown and sunglasses were just little bits and pieces that I found in primark that were pretty cheap and pretty so had to buy. It was quite embarrassing buying the sunglasses as there were a group of girls 'daring' each other to buy them as though they were hideous which makes me question my taste. My lovely mother also bought be some beautiful new floral bed sheets from Primark.

Have you bought anything recently? Hope you enjoyed the post!

Week in photos #29

OOTD - nirvarna top and floral skirt // OOTD - sex pistols top and joni jeans // Nancy waiting for her belly to be tickled in the sun // odd picture waiting in the sun at school // sunshine // being happy in the garden // rocking my new vintage dress // rosé in the garden // Nancy making a cave in my bed // revising in the sun // actually really reading for once // Nancy being a peculiar little fellow // admiring central perk in chester // sitting in central perk // new primark purchases // re-watching all four seasons of the OC

Lots more pictures this week, it seems that I have been a busy girl. I have spent a lot of time sitting in the sun wasting time doing nothing. I still haven't really got any sunburn which is a huge achievement with being pale and ginger, I just have a random red bit on my back which I couldn't reach to put suncream on. On Saturday I went to Chester to visit the university open day and we were only there for an hour or two and then we headed into town to go shopping and to go to central perk where they just constantly play friends. I can see that I will be visiting there everytime I visit my sister. I am also re-watching the OC which I do every summer but I only ever get half way through series 2 and then give up but this year I am determined!

Anyhow I'm back to sixth form tomorrow boooo. However in a few weeks I'm going to the Bristol uni open day which I am very excited about!

Have a fab weekend!! x

Dress - Vintage // Bracelet - Urban Outfitters
I know there aren't many pictures to today's outfit post but I really just wanted to show you this dress that I bought the other week at the 1940's weekend. I think it was designed for taller people because the waistline is a little bit low and it is a little bit longer than I wanted but still, I love it! It's a halter neck so was perfect for the heat we had today and the best thing is, I didn't really get burnt! Now that is an achievement for me.
I have finally finished all 9 of my exams and I can gladly say that I don't have to do another exam for a whole entire year. To celebrate I sat in the garden, eating fab lollies, drinking rosé, listening to Radio 1 and reading The Virgin Suicides. It was perfect.

Week In Photos #28

windows 8 twitter app // pretty candle // how do you instagrammers take photos like this!? // off to revision // in the sun with Laura // in the sun // playing Disney trivia outside // my cute new tree on my pile of books // best lemonade ever // in the pub // cows // a dungarees kinda day
I have been spending a lot of time thinking that I don't need to revise because it's sunny so I should make the most of it and instead doing nothing but sitting in the sun eating fab lollies and drinking M&S cloudy lemonade. I have 1 exam left and then I will be free, well until Monday at least.
Hope you're all having a fab weekend!
