Charity Shopping Success

Today I went charity shopping and bought a few items for myself. I also got my prom bracelet which looks like leaves wrapped around your wrist (hard to explain) from Dorothy Perkins, it said it was £7.50 but when I got to the till it was £1!!!!! I got my prom necklace which is gold with lots of little pink roses from new look for £4.99! I am doing well with all this prom lark I have spend about £60 pounds so far and all I need now is a ring and earrings. The most expensive part of my prom will be the ticket at £30!! I think I have done quite well. Anyway here is what I bought today:

3/4 Jeans - £2.00 (east Lancashire foundation I think)

White shirt with pink detailing on the collar, shoulders and cuffs. £2.49 (salvation army)

Recent Music Obsession

Recently I have been addicted to American rock-pop bands/singers from the 90's and early 2000's. I don't know what it is but I just can't get enough! I have even made a playlist on my itunes dedicated to this rather specific type of music. Anyway here is just a selection of just a few of the songs I am obsessing over at the moment, all of which are from youtube.

Green Day - Basket Case (1993)

Blink 182 - I miss you (2002)

Letters To Cleo - I want you to want me (around 1999)

No Doubt - Just a girl (1995)

Fountains of Wayne - Stacy's Mom (2003)

Remember this...

So do you remember this photograph that I took the other week for my first a-z photo (for animal)?
Well in the Free Press (local newspaper run by M.E.N) there is a section where you can send off photos from in the local area so, as I was proud of my photo, I sent it off. The following week my Mom was screaming up the stairs because my photo had been printed in the paper!! You will also see my name in the box underneath (Amy Haynes)!! As you can imagine, I was very excited and I still am very proud of myself.

I made a point to burn all of the photographs

These trousers are the closest thing I can get to buying something similar to american apparel's riding pants without spending a ridiculous amount of money.

DIY studded jacket

When I went to London the other weekend I bought a lovely denim waistcoat for £10 and I decided last night that it would look good with studs. I also recently bought some rubber wristbands that had studs on them so I took the studs off the wristbands and put holes in the collar and simply put them in place. The holes however where quite hard to make so now I have sore fingers, ouchies but it was well worth it! I think I will be wearing it to go to Manchester on Wednesday!
This was also my very first sucessful DIY attempt!! Yay me!

My Day - Saturday 7th April 2012

Today I went on a shopping trip to Manchester with my mom and sister. These are the main things that I bought:
  • Basket Bag - Primark £12
  • Mustards Yellow Dress - Primark £6
  • Boots - River Island £15
  • Free Topshop Magazine
I tweeted a picture of the Natural History Museum that I took last week and the manager of the museum tweeted me back!! I do understand that he tweets almost everyone who talks about NHM in their tweet but I felt privileged.
